Newcastle Transport will be making minor changes to bus timetables from Sunday 20 October.
Keolis Downer Hunter General Manager, Emmanuel Genlot said the minor changes to Newcastle Transport bus timetables, including dedicated school services, would make sure buses maintain connections to the new rail timetables and improve reliability.
“From next week, we’re making some tweaks to bus timetables, including school services, to maintain connections to trains and make sure services are on time for customers,” said Mr Genlot.
“While most trips have been adjusted by only a few minutes, there are some trips that have been adjusted by up to 10 minutes.
“Some school services will be starting earlier in the morning to make sure students are getting to school well before the bell time and in the afternoon some school trips will be departing from schools closer to the bell time.”
Students and their families are encouraged to check their school service using Trip Planner or checking out our summary of school service changes at newcastletransport.info before these school service changes are implemented on Monday 21 October.
“I encourage all our customers to head to newcastletransport.info or their favourite travel app to plan their new trip before changes come into place on Sunday.
“Our Customer Service Officers are also available to provide personalised assistance about the changes,” said Mr Genlot.
Customers can plan their trip, find out more about the improvements or get in touch with the Newcastle Transport team at http://newcastletransport.info.
