Join us on Saturday 20 June as we open the doors of Hamilton Depot to the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie community!
This is your chance to find out more about what we do, chat to Bus Operators about their career and look back at public transport across the last century.
Hamilton Depot has been central to public transport for the last century, when it was first used for steam tram maintenance in the 1920s.
In 1923, it became home to the first electric trams, gradually replacing steam trams and then in the mid-1930s it began to operate buses.
More recently, new zero emission buses and on demand buses have joined the fleet at Hamilton Depot.
There will be something for everyone, with free coffee, face painting, rides on electric and vintage buses and depot tours.
